The Pueblo of Zuni has seen numerous newsletters throughout the years, however, due to funding/other reasons they reached the end of their publication. In 2019 the Zuni Tribal Council allotted funds to create the A:shiwi A:wan Messenger Newsletter. The newsletter was created to improve transparency and communication between the Tribal Organization and the Community. It provides updates quarterly on tribal meetings, events, and travels by the Tribal Council and Tribal Programs. This first issue was released in June 2019.
