Mission
Purpose
This year has brought new and exciting changes to the Miss Zuni Organization . A decision was made to change the name to the Zuni Royalty Organization. The reason for the change in name was that the organization is now charged with the selection of the Miss Zuni, Jr. Miss Zuni, Zuni Prince and Zuni Princess. We feel the name correctly reflects our mission and purpose. In doing so, the organization drafted Bylaws which are currently in review and will be finalized within this year.
The mission of the Zuni Royalty Organization (formerly Miss Zuni Organization) is to provide an environment that encourages Zuni youth to embrace Zuni culture and traditions, through positive interaction and representation of the Zuni people. Specifically, the Zuni Royalty Organization is established and shall be operated exclusively to conduct pageants to choose the following to represent the Zuni Tribe:
a) Miss Zuni
b) Jr. Miss Zuni
c) Zuni Prince
d) Zuni Princess
The purpose of the titles for Miss Zuni and Jr. Miss Zuni is to provide a personal and professional platform for young Zuni women to promote culture and the community. It provides a forum for today's young Zuni women to express their pride in Zuni culture and language/traditions through their viewpoints, talents, and accomplishments.
